Favourite Youtubers

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone is having a good week. Mine has been really tiring but it always is because of university. Anyway, today I decided to share with you some of my favourite youtubers.

First off, we have JacksGap. This was the channel that made me really get into youtube videos. Jack and Finn were probably the first youtubers I started following. I’ve always liked their videos and they have done some amazing work throughout the years. Apart from their update videos and vlogs, they’ve talked about some interesting topics. Take ‘The Collaboration Project‘ as an example. It was an amazing idea to get everyone involved and the outcome was so great that Jack has recently announced more of those videos will happen. Then there’s ‘A FIlm For Ella‘ which has to be one of my favourite videos JacksGap has ever posted. It is a beautiful video and I tear up everytime I watch it.

Other youtuber I really like is Troye Sivan. Troye is a really lovely guy and I guess what got me interested in his videos in the first place was how random and weird he can be. He’s not afraid of being himself and showing his craziness in the internet. I can’t even choose a favourite video from him… He makes funny videos and sings in one or two but he also makes more serious ones like ‘Becoming You‘. Troye seems like a really genuine person and that’s what makes it so easy to watch his videos.

Then there’s Zoella. She makes videos related to beauty and fashion but she also makes other type of videos, including collabs with other youtubers. Zoe is a really nice girl and she’s a bit of an inspiration to me in some aspects. Reading ‘Girl Online’ a few months ago, only made me like her more.

There’s a ton of other youtubers I like and could talk about and maybe I will do it in the future, but now I’m going to talk about some youtubers that you probably don’t know about. I found out a few months ago that the Portuguese youtuber community was bigger than I thought. I only knew one or two youtubers and even now I only know a few. Nonetheless, I want to share who they are with you, so maybe I’ll help them get the recognition they deserve.

The first one is Paulo Sousa. Paulo posts covers on youtube and he has done it for years. I first heard about him from my best friend five or six years ago and I immediately started following his work. His covers are great, some more than others and I think he really deserves to get some recognition. He went on X Factor in 2013 and made a really emotional cover after he left, which is one of my favourite videos of him. There’s also a medley he made of cartoons and disney movies’ songs which I also really like (it’s in Portuguese though)!

The other Portuguese youtuber I want to tell you about is Tiago Braga. I admit I only heard about him last year when a bunch of youtubers participated on a panel at Comic Con Portugal, but after hearing him sing (yes, he also makes covers), I got interested in his work. He’s the youtuber I mentioned in my Pentatonix’s concert post. I met him after the concert at Starbucks and he was extremely nice! Tiago is a really great singer and the fact that he’s so nice just made me like him even more. As well as Paulo, they both deserve some recognition so go check them out!

That’s it for today. I need to go finish packing because I’m going to spend the weekend in Lisbon with my friends.

Until next time,

Jo xx
